This letter is meant for my Texas brothers and sisters, but if you are a CR in LA or AR take it as a compliment and for my WI and NV brothers I have faith it will soon be beneficial to you so that as you grow you can learn from our mistakes.
I had the privilege of attending Mr. Rays funeral yesterday in Oak Grove LA. The LA chapters of CRMM were well represented. There were members from all over the state there to celebrate his life, but what was such a blessing to me came after the funeral when we all headed to Wendy's for a cold drink and some cold air. You see, there were several chapters from all over the state there as I said earlier and the one chapter from AR that the LA brothers have adopted as their own, but you would not have known it. They came together as one family. I only knew there were more than one chapter there because I knew the individuals and where they were from. They truly love each other and enjoy the time in each others company. After we left I felt like this was what we are missing in TX right now. So many of our chapters are struggling under the enemies attack right now and we need to get together to lift each other up and encourage one another. I have an idea of getting as many together as we can quarterly. Like a Sat in Jan, April, Jul and Oct. It needs to be a time of fellowship though, not a time of sitting in a church service together but a time of getting to know one another. Each chapter could take turns hosting it. It could be like a covered dish social or something where every chapter brings enough food to feed their group and we put it all together and have a good time. Does anybody have any ideas on this? Would any chapter like to volunteer to kick it off. Please let me know your suggestions, as getting every body together as one family needs to be done. My compliments to the LA chapters and leaders (and you to Rick) for what you all have done.
